Morag Smith studied and worked as a Graphic Artist in Aberdeen until she moved to Johnshaven, Aberdeenshire where she now works as a full-time artist.

Using sketches and memory to gather information from the fleeting moments in a journey, Morag reinvents the experience onto board, layering the paint and scraping back revealing underlying colours and texture. 

Morag has exhibited throughout her native North East of Scotland for many years as well as being represented at the Art Fairs in London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen.

Her works are held in private collections throughout the UK and abroad
